Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend to Host 2024 YOU! CHOOSE Career Expo Empowering Coastal Bend Students to Shape Their Futures

COASTAL BEND – Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend is thrilled to announce the return of the highly anticipated 2024 YOU! CHOOSE Career Expo, happening on Wednesday, September 18th, at the Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas. This annual event will gather over 3,000 Coastal Bend students from 50 different middle and high schools as well as over 120 local employers and training providers for a day of career exploration and networking.

Designed to inspire students and give them an inside look at various industries, the Expo provides a unique platform for direct interaction with professionals from Business, Healthcare, Professional Skills and Trades, and Public Service. Students can explore a wide range of career paths, learn about local job opportunities, and gain insights into the skills and qualifications needed for future employment.

The event will kick off at 9:15 AM with an opening ceremony featuring guest speaker Texas Workforce Commissioner Joe Esparza. His presence underscores the importance of this event in shaping the future workforce and supporting the region’s economic growth. A special thank you goes to Valero for their generous donation of snacks, ensuring that students and participants stay energized throughout the day. The YOU! CHOOSE Career Expo is made possible through funding from the Texas Workforce Commission and reflects a shared commitment to preparing the next generation for success.
